I wish they would do that with music, where music fanatics continue to favor flac files for compressed lossless, and Apple's format lags at a maximum 16bit/44khz. Might be the deal breaker for me. Last night my Nano (6) conked out after about 6 hours use. Their 24 hour battery claim seems to be guano. I'm thinking maaaaybe... 12 hours if one never uses the screen and listens only to 256 mp3s?

If Siri had the speed of Google Voice, I would use it quite a bit more. It just feels so slow that it quickly becomes frustrating, particularly if the accuracy is off. It sure has it's limitations, and it's slow. Still if I need to send my wife a text while I'm driving, I press and hold the home button and it's done. Can't do that with Google. If I need to remember to do something when I get home, I ask to be reminded when I get there. Can't do that with Google. That's a real value to me, much more than I thought it would be. Use it 5-10 times a day... much more than I would search on my iPhone. I will say that I am very happy to see that Apple allowed Google Voice and I hope they also approve Google Maps. While displacing them from an installed spot is one thing, Apple needs to continue to offer the best of breed apps. I couldn't agree more. Said before that Apple needs to stick with what they're great at... which is hardware and OS integration. They can't be the master of every app, and frankly Google is so far ahead of them in search and maps that it's silly to try to catch up... it's what Google does, not what Apple does. If they continue the "not invented here" attitude they're going to be selling an inferior product. I think this battle with Google, regardless of who you blame, is hurting both companies.
