Christie should have been a wake up call. Christie may be a lot of things, but stupid he is not. And one thing he needs is to have successful terms as governor if he wants to run for president. If Romney had done a great job in Mass., he probably could have carried that state. But, he checked out halfway through and left the state a mess.

Anyone who looked at the picture with clear eyes saw that Romney had peaked a couple of days before the last debate and started a slow descent. With the storm on the way, Obama would have to have pulled a Smirk/Katrina scenario to not get any bump out of that. And that close to the election, well...

Finally, sucking up to Obama made Christie look like he can work across the aisle. Sure, he probably could have pulled a Brewer and not compromise the federal help. While that would have thrilled the base, if he runs he gets the base anyway. He is looking at a wider base than just that.

Finally, snubbing Romney helped play to the bipartisanship. Catering to Romney would have been a negative, it would have made him look like he was putting the party above his people. But snubbing Romney shows the opposite.

So, for Christie, that is the way the numbers added up. Romney didn't make the cut.

Dick Morris: The Pollsters in My Head Say...

Morris is arguably the wrongest person in the universe with a mainstream platform, and he didn't dissapoint in 2012.

This fellow is the dumbest of the army of buffoons on fox...o'really gives this guy a platform on his show regularly, which shows how dumb he is or he thinks his audience is....some of the cons were quoting him here on the thread when he was predicting a Penn win AND a landslide for romney...think about how koolaid drunk they are.
