Please don't blame liberals for being confused about what conservatives think in this area. The liberals have watched for decades as Conservatives have made pretty clear what they think on the subject. I'd hazard it would take a decade of changed behavior on the part of Republicans before the rest of us would believe you have changed. The shame of it is, I don't know enough conservatives or republicans who are willing to denounce that atrocious and unfair behavior.
