The problem is we don't think a yard of concrete or a ton of rebar used in a building in China is worth anything near what it would be in the USA.

That's because it isn't.

Democrats/liberals just cannot stand the idea that America is Exceptional and one could make an argument that Barack Obama and his democrat followers are doing their best to destroy that truth.

(I could have posted article upon article, but I'll leave that up to you to do your own research.)

The trouble is that China doesn't have trustworthy accounting, which means there are an awful lot of Potemkin firms, all bright and shiny and profitable looking, which will look great until one of their shoddy bridges collapses or the bank carrying their bad loans has to call them in.
