aren't enough hard right conservatives to elect anyone to statewide office in Washington State or.... Earlier tonight I was dragged to a celebration of patriotic songs for veterans put on by the church choirs of the metropolis of Shelton. I was profoundly saddened. The lyrics to many of the songs, and many of the quotes used in the performance, celebrated an attitude and ethos that many of the audience had recently repudiated. And they know not. Some of the vets, particularly those from the Second, knew. I sat by a swabbie who'd enjoyed a sponsored tour including Iwo, Tarawa, and parts of the Philippines in years gone. He was there with his sister and they understood, shared my grief. The support Ron Paul has garnered among the young gives me at least some scant hope for America's future.
