How much even $1Trillion is, let alone $16+ Trillion, These numbers don't mean anything to the voters and maybe they are right. We now have the Fed creating about 40 Billion a month out of thin air to handle our monthly deficit and we see no sign of it in the economy. We would have all said a decade ago that this was impossible. Interest rate at zero? Makes it even easier. How long can they go on inventing this amount out of the treasury to pay for the welfare state? Forever? Nobody knows.
