A simple change in attitude would make all the difference.

A municipality builds a bridge and you know with mathematical certainty that in 50 years you will need to replace that bridge. Start a fund to save up for that so 50 years rolls around you can build a new bridge with cash.

It does for the people who produce the freshly minted money <Printing actual dollars simply divides the pie into more pieces and doesn't actually create anything. > - they don't just give it out equally to everyone who already had some, pro rata. They dilute everyone else and spend the new lot themselves. It creates something out of nothing for themselves, at the expense of the gullible who were holding dollars.instead of assets.
