You won't be unpopular on this board with that opinion because that is virtually the unanimous opinion on this board. (and for the most part I share it). But Romney NEVER talked about the social issues. Other Republican candidates did but Romney didn't. So you can't blame his failure on that. You WILL be popular on this board with those views. But it's silly. Romney did not get fewer votes than McCain and Bush because of abortion or any other social issue. That's just a fact. I cannot presume to foist my religious beliefs on others. Nobody is foisting religious beliefs on anyone EXCEPT the other side. Romney wasn't going to foist any religious beliefs on anyone. I know all the little tiny-brained lefty women all think Romney would have taken away their right to birth control because thats what the Democrats told them, but its not true. The problem isn't with Romney being too socially conservative .. its with people believing stupid things that aren't even true. You need to convince people that what they think isn't true (that's hard because people want to believe stuff like that) .. instead of saying wait, a minute I'll have the government pay for your birth control and abortions too. You can't compete with the left on being leftwing. Their credibility is better on that than yours.
