Older people have a lot more assets than younger people. Not unfair.

People who get good useful educations have a lot more assets than people who don't. Not unfair.

I have relatives who haven't held a job in 20 years, others who got involved in drugs. Guess what they have few assets and are part of that bottom 40% and it's not unfair.

I'll bet most of the people whose lives you screwed up are in the bottom 40% too. And that's not unfair either.
