In the near future, millions of people will be laid off or forced into part-time work with no benefits. That's obvious. But where, under Obamacare, will they go? The original plan was to force the poor onto Medicaid. But now the states don't have to expand their Medicaid plans to take them, because of the Supreme Court decision.

Brumar, I'm not specifically talking about Obamacare, I'm talking about having to pay MORE for insurance for MY family because I have to cover the "uninsured" TOO.

Maybe you've got a better idea. Maybe they should put guards at emergency rooms to keep everybody out that doesn't have insurance. That might work until the first youtube video shows up.

Do YOU have a practical solution?

As far as cutting hours to avoid paying benefits, Walmart and others are already doing that and it's not because of Obamacare.

I agree that the "pre-existing" condition thing is BS. You shouldn't be able to avoid insurance until you get sick.

Like car insurance, health insurance should be a RESPONSIBILITY from cradle to grave.

Everybody NEEDS to be insured to spread the risk over as large a population as possible.

ALSO, what is this CRAP about the U.S. government NOT being able to "negotiate" drug prices with the pharmaceutical companies??? It's NOT capitalism when Canada can buy drugs at a THIRD of the price that OUR government has to pay. That garbage ONLY happens because the drug companies have so many of OUR legislators in their back pocket.
