That's my answer, they can't. Gold stocks look like they are peaked out. Charts from last November suggest further downside for gold stocks, and they look terrible again this November. Doesn't mean I wouldn't buy them on a big dip, but I think they head lower. Same applies to gold which made a major peak last November. I'm a December buyer of Gold.

I think Gold sets up for a decent short today.
