The Abraxane Pancreatic news should lock it for rkrw and put biomavin at a solid #2. My congrats and thanks to both. I didn't buy a lot but enough and quite health returns. Will be happy to donate to his charity!

11/16/12 Contest Update
Pissed off at Obama’s reelection, the 1% dumped their stocks. Plus, they began taking profits before next year’s tax hike. There are surely other reasons for the post-election stock market slide, but my gut goes for these two.
At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 14.30% YTD (vs. up 20.84% YTD a week ago). In comparison, the Nasdaq Biotech Index actually gained for the week and was up 26.42% YTD (vs. up 24.99% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 9.52% YTD (vs. up 11.50% YTD a week ago).
Although it included two of the week’s worst performing stocks (TZYM, ISR), RKRW’s portfolio, up 116.73% YTD, got enough of a boost from CELGZ to show a gain for the week. And it continued to hold a large lead. GENE’s portfolio, up 65.71% YTD, held on to second place, while BIOMAV’s portfolio, up 52.11% YTD, jumped into third place with CELGZ’s leap outweighing DVAX’s damage.
At Friday's close, 7 of the 38 Contest portfolios were now in the red, with just 12 of the 38 portfolios beating the NBI.
Below is the Top Ten list. Also below are the Top 5 & Bottom 5 Stocks ranked by % Gained and % Lost for the week.
(Foreign stock prices are not converted to US$ in the weekly and YTD Top 5 & Bottom 5 tables, when posted.)
Portfolio adjustments: None.
Have a relaxing weekend biotechies!
(All corrections, especially adjustments for splits, greatly appreciated.)
