Everybody looks at these numbers, gets round eyed and says, 'we have to do something about this.' What they mean is:

"Don't tax you and don't tax me, tax that fellow behind the tree."

Nobody here gets the point I have been making. Economics is a new science, with many unknowns in it. You can't compare our situation with any world economy in the past. Nobody has ever been the worlds central bank before.

The other countries gripe about what is happening here. But it is in their vital interest that we do well. If we go, they go worse. They can't afford to pull us down. THE WORLD HAS NEVER BEEN INTERCONNECTED BEFORE LIKE IT IS NOW. Perhaps our debt is now the world's debt.

Am I saying we can run debt up forever? I am saying, "nobody knows."
