Newt would have been a fighter, for sure.

How was Reagan so successful?

He had a definite message, and he was able to deliver it to the people so they could understand it.

We lacked all of that this time around ..

I don't know if Romney was incapable or unwilling.

Thanks. I'm sorry to hear that.

When you're being attacked you have to counter the charge or people will think it must be on target. You can't be a gentleman in a cut-throat environment.

I think Newt would have done better than Romney.

We need someone genuinely popular with conservatives, who can skillfully articulate conservative ideas, and is willing and able to attack the opposing candidate.

"The Romney adds tried to portray the Obama record as one of failure"

Ah, yes, the failed political campaigns of the past.

LMAO.

"Until we run a candidate that recognizes we are dealing with pure low life snakes "

Sure. That's all it is.
Keep telling yourself that.

"This is one of the reasons I originally wanted Newt to be the candidate. Despite his baggage - Newt would have taken the fight to prince of darkness."

How loony can you get?. Was he gonna make you the mayor of Moonbase 1?

Here's the dirty little secret nobody else will tell you...you have an 18th century plan for a 21st century world. No messenger can shape that to be palatable to the American public.

Romney was much like McCain - a gentleman.

Or, perhaps, Romney was much like Ronald Reagan, a gentleman?

There seems to always be Republicans that think that "fighting" is the key to victory. Not fighting to get a positive message out but fighting the other candidate with accusations. Did Romney lose the Hispanic vote because he wasn't nasty enough? Did Romney lose California and New York because he didn't call Obama a liar? Did Romney's behavior change the level of voter fraud in areas like Philadelphia?
Some in the Republican Party would love a street fight with lots of anger aimed at the opposition during the campaign. It would be great entertainment but would it really be effective? Is it the path that led Allen West to victory in Florida?
