Thomas, the Australian equivalent of the WSJ is the Australian Financial Review. The URL for this and some other useful newspapers and journals is: fairfax.com.au Regarding BHP, I really don't know short term. The market often goes to sleep over Xmas. However, I think BHP are probably good long term. Personally I would look at long dated Call Options in BHP. While there are some problems with BHP I doubt if there is a major company in the world that doesn't have some problems. Regards to all, Aurum

Thomas, I had a look at BHP's ASX (Australian Stock Exchange) releases and I have appended them below. As you can see BHP puts out a lot of information - they even have a weekly "Drilling Report" (mainly oil wells). This list is from Ozemail "Stock Watch". I found an article by a well known stockbroker - investor, Rene Rivkin, who states " - this company is a litany of errors. A time will come when one should buy these shares, but that time is not now - it will be an under performer for some time yet." My worry with BHP is it's exposure to Asia.
