The 47% comment was a mistake, not reaching out to hispanics was a mistake. not picking Marco Rubio was a mistake. Not reaching out to single women was a mistake. Not telling the poor and unemployed that a safety was still there was a mistake.

Still, it was a very close election.

Good job. Now ask yourself why so many mistakes were made. My take is because influential blocs in the party would have pitched a fit if he had.

Sad thing is , we ended up with a born and bred communist/socialist for another 4 years who has no clue how to get the private economy going other than form a 'department of business'.

Should have figured you couldn't stay off the Crazy Train for long.

He isn't a communist or a socialist or a fascist. In addition, the department of business would consolidate a lot of existing agencies under one. Cutting staff, making it more responsive and efficient. I thought your team was all for it?

The mistake was, imo, failing to get a handle on the data.

Obama was able to turn out kids to vote, most of whom have no idea what the issues even were. His campaign owned the social media which allowed them to spread lies about his opponent for months before the election, and those lies could not be overcome by other means.

The GOP, if it wants to participate next time around, should be starting today with a strategy to capture the social media. And outsourcing it isn't going to do that trick. They need a large staff of excellent full time people who are focused on social media, or they will not have a chance next time around.

I have also stated on another thread that if the GOP wants to dominate the Democrats it will have to quit the moralizing on abortion and gay marriage, and begin today, not two years from now, educating people about the complicated issues of taxation and why SS and Medicare must be restructured from the ground up.

The other alternative is to wait and see whether the economy collapses before the next election season; if it does, it will be over. But the government can delay the collapse for a long time with borrowing and printing.

Still, it was a very close election.

That's right...because the base will not veer ...that's why I marveled at the fact that, after winning the primary, romney was still playing to the base...he only tried to remake himself very late in the process...and what happened then? He started gaining traction. ..

Sad thing is , we ended up with a born and bred communist/socialist for another 4 years who has no clue how to get the private economy going other than form a 'department of business'.

See my posts to inode...you guys will not get back on track until you give up the exaggerated non sense...
