Alternatives to the US aren't very good.
If I was going to move to Australia, I'd definitely live in Kings Cross for as long as I could take it.

Would you chop up your guns before you left or wait until you got to Australia where they would do it for free?

PS: We went to a Christmas craft bazaar today. Some of the signs you could buy there would not make it t through a TSA screen even though they were quite harmless. Their gist: "I don't dial 911." Several had wooden mockups of pistols that nobody but TSA could mistake for the real thing.
