I saw a rumor that YHOO is interested in buying PCQ (PC-Quote) on the day-traders internet site. The price was said to be about $21 million. Anyone know if this is true? IMO this is a better buy than 411.

One ninth? Why bother?

Sad to say, I closed out my short position in YHOO today.

IMO The hype on Internet stocks will only increase for the next few months. Everybody and his brother will be surfing the net after Christmas using cheap PCs and dedicated web cruisers (lowered, with real skinny tires, decorated with dingle balls and fuzzy dice). Money is leaving "hard" techs (semis, semi equip, disk) and going into the YHOOs, AOLs, DELLs, etc. Also software seems to be moving up. The more speculative (CTXS, DDIM, BAAN, PSFT, etc.) the better.
