Of course it is too far gone. Even if Romney, an absolutely competent and capable fellow, had been elected, it was a very steep climb. But we reelected the most incompetent president in modern history; one whose entire first term was destruction. Even if Obama gave the Republicans what they want, they don't have the balls to make the cuts that have to be made -- eliminating entire agencies and departments. It is POSSIBLE to grow your way out of this mess, but only after some difficult medicine which the people in this country aren't willing to take.
