My son is almost 3. My wife and I want to teach him. For us its a quality issue aside from the violence and drugs. I don't feel ashamed whatsoever protecting him in his early years. I love him. There are good people in public education, but the system that educates these has gone badly awry. I want my son to be able to think critically and be able to learn on his own. On a more serious note: some have said evil is not on the increase -- we just hear about it more with the media and so forth. Bunk! We're reaping the glorification of violence in the name of entertainment. I don't need or want to see a movie where people are ruthlessly killed or where people treat each other as simply objects for self-gratification in order to know that these things are wrong or better "understand" anything. I won't get started on Disney -- I remember what they were when I was young and I know what they are now. It's amazing. I'm so sorry for the parents.
