Romney didn't play scorched earth and he lost. The Democrats scorched earth tactics depressed the Republican vote, making those marginally inclined to vote Republican think he's just some heartless rich guy who got rich moving jobs to China. The Republican candidate should have hit Obama hard on the 43 months of 8+% unemployment, the failure to come to the aid during the 7 hour battle in Benghazi, the terrible Obama record in investing taxpayer money in crony companies, etc.
