tonto, if you will check the chart I posted today from the Seattle Times/WaPost, it is very clear we would have had a surplus in 2011 but for the Bush tax cuts and unfunded wars.

True. Logical arguments no longer make a difference in presidential elections. Half the population are not the least interested in what makes sense. That's why Repubs need to formulate a strategy that does appeal to those voters shallow values, if they want to win future elections.
