lorne,
Ohio families receiving food stamps could get an unwelcome surprise come January: $50 less every month in assistance.

For the 869,000 households enrolled in the program for the poorest Ohioans, that could amount to about $520 million annually out of the grocery budgets.
And, the Republicans will be blamed if they block a settlement resolving the Budget Sequestration for a tax increase of individual families over $250,000.

That would be state of Ohio cutting costs due to the fact that state Governors must have a balanced budget. Congress should impose the same law on itself for the greater good of the country, but the Democrats would never vote for such a sensible idea.
