Yes the dirive manuf. get slammed here. But shouldn't we focus on the big theme: Namely that demand for capacity keeps on rising and rising, be it in servers or in clients?

How many manufactures are around? Seagate, WDC, Quantum, Fujitsu and then? HWP got recently out of it. So far no other thechnology offers an competitive $/GB price.

While I'm not smart enough to predict a quick rise in WDC (or one of the others), longer term I'm positive. So much bad news is in the price now.

Ramsey:

Today, I bought CS, COMS, & some others which were very down. We have much SEG since 39. WDC - I am in at 21 1/8 so today it was priced slightly less. If I had been in at $54., I cannot say whether or not I would buy more.

When these stocks are sold off as they were today, one month, one year, there has to be an upside.

December 1997 is not the end of technology. I look for good companies that are currently unappreciated. Eventually they go back up.
