What I want to know, and what no one will ever ask, is what was the FBI doing monitoring Patraeus's private emails in the first place? As I understand it, the woman in Florida (Jill Kelley) received anonymous emails threatening her so she then contacted the FBI. They traced these to Paula Broadwell and discovered the emails between her and Petraeus. I believe an affair with the head of the CIA would warrant investigation as a potential security threat (i.e. potential for blackmail).

Holly Solomon was arrested on charges of domestic violence and aggravated assault charges after she chased her 36-year-old husband in their Jeep SUV through a parking lot near Gilbert Road and Vaughn Avenue before pinning him between the SUV and a curb, according to Jesse Sanger of the Gilbert Police Department Sanger said Solomon, 28, argued with her husband over his lack of political involvement and that she believed her family would suffer under a second term of Pres. Barack Obama. Witnesses told police they heard yelling and saw Solomon get behind the wheel of the Jeep and chase her husband through the parking lot. Sanger said the husband eventually stopped behind a light pole while Solomon drove around him numerous times. Her husband tried to run toward Gilbert Road but was caught by Solomon in the Jeep, Sanger said. Officers said they didn't believe Solomon was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time.

While your conclusion is probably as correct as any I've heard .. the reading of Petraeus' e mail was prompted because the FBI found sexually related emails form Petraeus on Broadwell's computer (something about sex under a desk ... ) after receiving a complaint from Ms. Kelley about the threatening emails she was receiving - which were determined to have originated from Broadwell. So far that is the only part of this whole thing I find remotely believable .. the explanation of how they got onto Petreus. But of course, it could ALL be concocted, and/or have been 'planted' .. or whatever. Isn't it interesting, too, that the FBI agent was supposedly sending 'shirtless' pics of himself to Kelley ...??? Now THAT would be the real dummy in this whole thing ... LOL
