The problem with the global warming movement is that it is built upon several different fallacies. Or at least unsubstantiated opinions. I completely concur.. I'm not sold on the idea of AGW either, as of yet.. Is the global temperature rising over the past 100 years? Yeah.. I think a degree or two.. But I also expect this to drop off quite a bit with the onset of Cycle 25, which is expected to be a major period of solar inactivity similar to the Maunder Minimum.. But James Hansen has made so much of how CO2 increases, which are documentable, are causing AGW and due to Human emissions of CO2 that it's incredible that no one seems to be putting the two variables (PP declines, and CO2 increases). We don't need to even discuss whether CO2 is a major GG or not. My argument is that the sponge that soaks up the water (CO2) in the bucket is getting smaller, making it appear that the water (CO2) levels are rising.. The answer is to get a bigger sponge and restore the balance.. So those links clearly demonstrate a connection between declining Phytoplankton levels, and increasing CO2 in the atmosphere, thereby potentially negating the entire AGW argument by Hansen.. But apparently climate scientists don't think it's important to take a "wholistic" approach to analyzing climate models. The oceans, and especially Phytoplankton, are the 800 pound Gorilla sitting in the IPCC hallway.. Hawk
