Al, the implication in my post is clear. There's a difference between perception and reality.

Politics is all too often about perception, and the Democrats did a much better job in that department than the Republicans did.

All too often, Romney found himself on the defensive, even on issues that he should have been on the attack such as Benghazi and Iran.

Then there were the stupid ass things such as tax returns (WTF cares?) and Big Bird. The "war on women" was also completely manufactured by the left but helped in large part by huge gaffes from idiots like Akin and shock jocks like Rush.
