Corker said to buy stocks today, since he saw no chance of the fiscal cliff happening. Something will get hammered out. I'd love to see the government eliminate $700 billion worth of spending. That would be very bullish for the dollar and US Treasuries. It would also destroy a lot of fake inflation in commodities like oil, which would probably go back to $45 if they had the guts to close the budget gap.

Once the market begins to rally, everyone will start complaining about Congress NOT letting the fiscal cliff happen. They keep threatening everyone with dire consequences about what would happen if they balanced the budget. I'd love to see it happen.
