I wouldn't call it panic. I think all of the relevant marketing/sales factors have been discussed here since the Brocade release and I won't repeat them again. My read is that the consensus is:

1. There is a clear and expanding market for FC.

2. Ancor's marketing has definitely improved, but (even though they are not on the same playing field as Brocade) it is not nearly as effective as Brocade's.

3. If all the releases are correct, Brocade is clearly going to be a successful company. Ancor's future is less certain.

4. Technical superiority may not carry the day, because in many applications it is a wash. Another factor mentioned was that Brocade does seem to have expertise in video applications that many of their customers want.
