Ahhh, that hate for the left again. That hate for over half of the people in this country. Since most republicans support SS and Medicare too - you end up hating a lot of people.

Look, Bush had the opportunity to do something - he didn't. He read books to Kindergartens instead. Yes Medicare is completely unsustainable - but it is that way because of both republicans and democrats. Conservatives sit on their high horse and preach about the evils of an unsustainable program - but fail miserably when it comes to a solution. If conservatives don't come to the table and bargain honestly and offer real ideas, I really do believe they risk being a viable party. People are sick and tired of small minded conservatives sitting in their corner pouting about entitlements and promising to be against everything if it means a tax increase. Well, good luck with that strategy!
