If you are use to Windows 7, you may not like the learning curve of Windows 8. Completely different beasts. Note, I am bias, I do not like Windows 8.

But it may be just what some people would prefer and do better with.

It's designed for touch screens, as on smartphones and tablets.

Start button is gone.

Microsoft is currently offering an upgrade for $40 if you want to try it.
