This guy leaves out the most important aspect of Windows 8. When you PIN programs to the task bar it is almost IDENTICAL TO WINDOWS 7, except faster. Pinning programs is the single most important Windows 8 tip and he doesn't even mention it. You aren't going to be using the TOUCH interface part of Windows 8 much at all on a desktop.

From my previous post on the subject:

There is a common aspect of Windows 7 to Win8 in desktop mode where you PIN your most used programs to the task bar.

If you have your most used programs pinned to the task bar, then upgrading and using Win8 from Win7 will seem just like Win7.

If you are upgrading from WinXP and are not used to pinning programs to the task bar, then it will be very unfamiliar.

There is LITTLE TO NO DIFFERENCE from Win7 to Win8 in DESKTOP MODE. The part that might confuse people is the INTERFACE geared for TOUCH.

You aren't going to be using the TOUCH part of Win8 on your desktop very often.

Although, I have been using my Netflix app from the touch part...
