sorry for the delayed reply, I have been traveling to visit my kids... Such folks think that God has commanded us all to act with compassion...do you think that a concept of individual rights will over shadow the commandment of god? even if ones individual judgement led one to choose a different path, they would only say that this is an error, and they are actually helping to keep others on the 'strait and narrow' by advocating govt policy that would compel them to act with compassion.. that is all they are thinking...and there is no assurance that they are trying to cover all the angles or even be self-consistent... rp
