Could it be that this gift is referring to repentance, asking forgivness of the one wronged? Tough to impossible to do (while the murderer is still here on earth) if one has murdered his brother/sister. The word kill is actually Phoneuo #5406 Gr.= murder a criminal homicide!! Our word felony** originates from this word. Could that be why Jesus said, Just before He died, about those who murdered him...Father forgive them for they know not what they do....Sort of clearing the way...procedurely (For lack pof a better term) i.e...Receiving the gift in the unlikely case it should be offered?
