>>>Do you have that link that lists all the indexes? If so I could go and look at a few this afternoon.<<<
I'm not sure what list you're talking about, and I'm probably the LAST person you want to ask about links on the net....I never tour around the financial sites.

>>>It looks like you and I are all alone today. What has happened here and the Ideas thread? <<<<
Some people might not be back in the groove after the holiday yet.
Other people may have taken a beating during the last month or two.
Other may be taking a breather....I know I get a small case of burnout from time to time.

>>>It used to be so much a team effort and alot of positive comments. Now there is alot of fighting and hardly any posting.<<<
Not sure how to answer this, but maybe it also has something to do with people losing money. Maybe not. Maybe certain people are just trying to keep others honest. Tom tried to keep Ike honest by indicating that he ignores his losing trades and calls he maeks, and praises his winners. This caused a problem. Yesterday Lisa wanted to find out where in the hell I came up with those 'new' numbers (they were new to the thread but I've examined them for awhile now). She just wanted to get to the bottom of what I was posting, and whether or not she should be watching it. IMO, both conversations were needed. Not sure if the right words were chosen with each querstion and each response, but certain things need to be addressed.

>>>I still like MU alot here, get in now and hold for the first to second quarter run up to 40 like it always does.. there are a few that fit this description. <<<
You're probably right about MU, but I've never liked this stock and got burned the last time I saw it rising. I'll stay on the sidelines.

>>>Have you heard of any data about companies that offer options to employees, and when the warrants come up and are excersised, if the underlying stock has a noticible drop due to selling for the profits? <<<

I've never had an opp to research such info, but you pose a good question. I don't have access to a list of such companies...

Talk to you later.

Electric~You raise a valid point about thread participation.

I've found over the years that Mexicans are the world's finest mechanics. Give any of them a screwdriver and monkey wrench, and they can rebuild a tractor or an airplane in two hours flat. But if any of them ever had an original thought, it would blow the top of their head off.

Now that's the way I view participation on this thread, and am certainly not alone in this vast group.

The shift to indexing has been daunting for those of us who may have to read something twenty times before the light emerges, but this is the price of progress, and is good.

I've admired the strategic thinkers here, like Judy, and wish I could offer more for the benefits received, but also want to express gratification for the ongoing practical and profitable education.

David G. got me interested in the banks. Lisa discovered Vivus (bless her heart, and more). Kevin, of course, (except for Dell puts <ggg>). Kevin W. for sheer tenacity, and Mtn. Man's icy logic. The list goes on...

It would be unfair to write the epitaph for this thread any time soon.

Regards and Viva Las Vegas,

Rick
