Although I think that it's quite ridiculous that INTC is down on HPQ Autonomy fraud allegations (this impacts PC business how???), I have not added to my position yet. I am looking for lower entry point right now. Not saying it's going to happen, just that's what my current plan and situation is. Might change any time. :)

Disclosure: small-medium INTC position. no HPQ position.

EKS,

As much as INTC looks enticing, it is articles like the one below that call into question whether microprocessors are going to become a commodity. If Apple can create their own, Samsung etc. will follow their lead.

intc some other things to look at:

Earnings increase 22.8% but sales increase 8% last 5 years. cutting costs?? cf increased 16%
Q/Q sales decreased 5% earnings decreased 10%.
Balance sheet looks good low debt/equity. current ratio >2. Clearly going through a rough patch but dividend is safe 40% payout ratio and has been increasing past 10 yr.

i think i will go for some.
