Well TJ, I was in your camp an now I must content with a wrong bet, the EUR in contrast to all prediction sprinted from 1.2740 to 1.2990 after the down grade of France by one notch.

The AUD did not miss in this nonsense of "risk on" and catapulted from 1.0290 to 1.0470

Only the JPY lost ground from 80.95 to 82.40 or thereabout

How do you explain this?

More so due to Sandy there will be a temporary increased economic activity, and lower unemployment numbers, at a time the EU is way behind in a recovery. Of course there will be some more printing but same will happen within the EU. As to fiscal cliff? Well I think this will be insanity to let it happen and in any case it is already backed into the markets.

So all in all I scratch my head, as it is not only market manipulation.
