Gerald, no one wanted to be able to announce DuPont more than Tom and Bob, since they were asked incessantly about it for months (I know, I was one of the askers!). For any number of reasons (saving face for CSC which is managing the project and has their own factory, hassles w/ DuPont's legal/PR dept., or just timing issues relating to budgeting or determining scope of project), an official release was not able to be made. However, I found DuPont reasonably open in discussing their work w/ Alydaar. If a reporter from the Observer talked to DuPont and verified a contract, he is under no restraints from making it public. I agree it would have been much nicer (and had more impact) coming in the form of a press release, but let's remember the important thing is that they've got the contract. Gerry, that's a question I and a few others have been bantering around today, among others. As you know, ALYD announced they were beta testing with Dupont way back on 3/13: alydaar.com. So, there is a publicly announced (formal) relationship on record, and thus the Charlotte Observor had every right to further investigate this relationship. But, I have not actually read the article so I can't comment on what Bob said. As for "official" news from ALYD, presuming Dupont gave the offical OK yesterday (as someone e-mailed me they did), then a timely release would be by Friday, IMO, although I expect one sooner. - Jeff P.S.
