Craig:

Just a short note of congratulations on your call on COMS. Over the past couple of weeks you've been a clear voice of reason challenging this thread's cheerleaders about the problems surrounding the channel stuffing, USRX accounting liberties and other messes. I jumped out of COMS some time ago for those and other reasons, but didn't have the conviction to short. Shoulda, coulda, woulda, but I hope you shorted BIG TIME and I hope you make a ton of money while this mess of a Company tanks over the next few quarters.

Keep up the good work.

JasonW

FOUND THE REST OF CRAIG'S RESPONSES

<< 5 - Hub/Switch/Router business is getting more competitive: Yeah, that's because Cisco, Bay and 3Com are doing incredibly well and everyone else is losing. 3Com remains #1 in low end,
high volume hubs and switches. >>

If you want to know who is really doing well in the "systems" market just take a look at
the charts of the companies involved.

C$CO=Uptrend
BAY=Recent uptrend
CS=Major downtrend
COMS=Major downtrend

That's all you need to know about who is winning.
*You're talking about stocks now, not markets or companies. What the stocks say is that investors, in general, think COMS has a bleak outlook. I'm writing this post because I disagree.

<< 6 - Remote access concentrator business is slowing: That means less people are getting connected to the Internet. Who thinks this is the case >>

Nobody said the business was slowing (some say the rate of growth is moderating).
Prices and margins are falling. I think the disk drive makers are still selling plenty of
disk drives. That doesn't mean they are making any money at it though.
* 3Com has lower corporate margins than most other networkers. That means that they can handle price competition better than other networkers. And prices fell dramatically earlier in the year (for all 3Com products except for concentrators. What makes you think they will continue to do so? Who's going to cut prices next, hmm?

<< Lets face it, there is little reason for the big drop in 3Com's share price over the past month except for USRobotics channel inventories >>

Completely and utterly wrong.
*Oh yeah! We'll see, buddy!
