Thoughts on the oil sector.

[Johnny: I am actually not a bullish as he is as potential weakening demand from China and India may keep oil prices low and a lot of mid-cap and small-cap oil stock become less viable at oil prices below $70.

Companies that need to go back to the market in the next year should trade at a discount as there is a risk they will not be able to raise further capital to continue their drill programs.
Companies that can fund drilling from cashflow and still remain profitable will trade at a premium relative to the their peers in the group.

I like the dividends, but the debt or perferred might be more safer as they can't cut the payout only delay it and debt on the small to mid-cap trade yields close to 10%.]
