Those 8 million living outside Egypt probably, to a large extent, represent classical brain drain. Can't blame them. Many of the expats are probably Christians.

One of my college professors had a contract with Saudi Arabia to work on some kind of irrigation program. He had to abandon it because the State Department said they were the only entity that could form contracts with other nations.
