I guess enough people thought chips were weak? The volume doubled
or better selling to bid after the downgrade. What a shame. "Down
grades chipmakers" that's all they needed to see. Maybe it will
roll back. Kurlak gets less respect lately. Last time he downgraded
INTC it actually went up... :)

Technically you're probably right. In fact the argument can be made (has been made) that slow down in chips will accelerate move to .25 micron. However, the argument the street accepts is fewer chips = fewer steppers = fewer lasers. I think that's wrong, but in a "shoot first" market, Cymer can't help but be impacted.

Too bad this occurred on the eve of Japan Semicon.
