Oh baby, you hit my Achille's heel there! Nightmare, in the pro computer world, right now. One, my darling Apple since the 512Ke came out is - as you noted - not making me exactly happy: no upgrade for the Mac Pro since the dinos went extinct, iMac missing in action and locked up tight, don't EVEN dream about upgrading RAM, hard drive, anything! Grrr... Two, same with the MacBook Pros: locked up tight, don't try to get inside it, you ain't an Apple Genius! Three, the latest two versions of OS X suck. Latter more than the former. Ergo, the realists among us - as opposed to the dreamers - retain Snow Leopard for the I'm Dead Without It Moments. Leopard barely meows. Mountain Lion? Whimpers. So yeah, kinda tough over here, in pro imaging Mac land. Now, let's take a look at Windows 8, shall we? NO!!!!!!!!! Very hard to decide what to do right now, except maintain, triple back up (one copy off site) what I have, as long as possible...
