People perceive what they expect to perceive. Because you acknowledge the religious aspect of American history you see it everywhere. A secularist could enter the Supreme Court Building without observing the central place the Ten Commandments have. Even if they observed the words, because they are not familiar with them they would not understand the central place that Judaism and Christianity have in our legal system.
