Nicholas,

To be fair to Ampex and its prospects, I'll post this link to Jubimer's initial response to Bramson's letter: Message 2646104

Having done that, I'll say that I agree with everything you mentioned in your post. For me, the only saving grace is that I've previously learned some hard lessons about speculative investments, and I only invested in Ampex what I could easily afford to lose. I'm still not sure that I'll continue to hold my remaining shares; any remaining optimism about Ampex's prospects is largely offset by the frustration I feel whenever I look at my portfolio and seeing my current loss on AXC.

One thing about the whole thing that bothers me: Back when I made my initial investment, I told myself that with the Ampex story, Time was the enemy. Well, I was dead right, but somewhere along the way I forgot this thought or rationalized it away. If time isn't quite yet up for KM, it's close. If I hold at this point, it'll just be for some of the prospects that Jubimer mentioned in his post. But at this point, whatever I decide, I'm not expecting a sharp uptick (or any uptick at all) any time soon.

To borrow a phrase from you, enough of my noise.

Al
