The chinese suffered terribly during the Mexican Revolution of 1910. Pancho Villa was probably the worst offender. He'd kill them wherever he found them.

A Chinese family, the Kongs, ran a great deli-butcher-butcher-sweets shop in the city I lived in when young. To avoid prejudice, they gave it a Swiss name. I remember the old man, in his 90s by then, constantly poring over accounts, fussing at his daughter who ran the place.
