It all starts with a wonky apostrophe. Keep your apostrophe's on the straight and narrow and the rest follows. Look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves.

<this could be a hanging offence

Afghanistan is lost because somebody had an apostrophical butterfly take off in a Siberian forest, causing a tornado downstream.

When apostrophe's have escaped, principle's soon follow and the principal's lose their Virtuous Victorian Value's:
<In other words, we are asked to believe that a single, low-ranking, zealous FBI agent has toppled the careers of two top US Generals: one in charge of the principle global intelligence agency, the CIA, and the other in command of the US and allied combat forces in the principle theater of military engagement – on the basis of infidelity and flirtatious banter!>

Let's accept that American's can't spell theatre and have still not metricated to the System Internationale, though they are going metric an inch at a time.
