I write checks quarterly.

In case you do not get my point... Which based on your question I find most probable.. Buffett (as does Gates) has assets to fund a % of the gov debt all by himself. Instead of asking for others to pay he can write a check anytime without being required to by law.

Been waiting 10 years for that check writing from Buffett. A promise to pay is non payment.
