Do you know what a capital gain is? There are families that have untaxed Capital Gains they made from the Civil War whose income is 1% of that money. They pay tax on the 1% and keep the rest. Do you understand this?

>> The only explanation for you not thinking that people making over $200k a year and higher getting such a disproportionately massive slice of the nations's wealth is not unfair,

What a stupid remark. Even for you, nitwit.

The early bird shouldn't get the worm, in the interest of fairness

Early to bed and early to rise, makes no difference, because in the interest of fairness, those who rise late should be treated equally

----------------------------------------------------

POOR RICHARD'S PROGRESSIVE ALMANAC: The Bizarro Ben Franklin's Most Infamous Quotes What if

Benjamin Franklin had been a progressive? Well, for one thing, no one would have ever heard of him, but -- more importantly -- some of his quotes in Poor Richard's Almanac would be dramatically different:

• A penny saved is a penny best confiscated by the government and redistributed to the rulers' green energy scams

• The early bird shouldn't get the worm, in the interest of fairness

• Honesty is the best policy, except when serving in public office

• Energy and persistence are overrated

• Never do today what you can leave till tomorrow

• God helps those who help themselves to others' labors

• Rather go to bed with dinner and rise in debt

• The Constitution grants people the right to happiness, whether they pursue it or not

• Early to bed and early to rise, makes no difference, because in the interest of fairness, those who rise late should be treated equally

Each of these quotes represents the antithesis of their original intent. Yet each represents a platform of the modern Democrat Party.

Bentway,
The only explanation for you not thinking that people making over $200k a year and higher getting such a disproportionately massive slice of the nations's wealth is not unfair, is that you're a partisan moron who's been well indoctrinated by his wealthy puppeteers.
Meltdown!

I want to return to this .... I want to give credit to my parents, grandparents, and other adults in my childhood that taught me morality. Life isn't fair and isn't supposed to be. That some people will have more than you isn't a bad thing that you have any reason to complain about. Some of those people with more than you have more because of luck. Many more of them have more because of lifestyle choices they made ... what career to pursue, to save money instead of spend, etc etc etc. Envy is a serious sin and a character flaw. You have been brainwashed into not being able to recognize this.
