Some say it is now Made in China which is supposedly going to take over as the New Sovereign, but that's wishful thinking. The Great Experiment is being taken over the greater community of interest represented by Cyberspace and the Cyberspacoids who depend for their livelihoods in whole or in part on Cyberspace. Loyalty to a country has historically been tribal protection of DNA and economic protection of self based on geographic food and hunter gatherer resources combined with more abstract systems such as language, law, methods and cultural norms. More successful tribes would take over from weaker ones. Mohammed might be taking over the UK and some other European countries, but that's not quite the same as taking over the British Empire. The buildings are still there, but the people have flown the coop. You can find them and their descendants inhabiting Cyberspace, which is The New Sovereign to whom millions owe their loyalty. My income entirely comes from Cyberspace. ElMatador's income is from Cyberspace in Nairobi, via China, following Angola. Hordes of people and the biggest company of all time, Apple, and a lot of other huge companies are based on Cyberspace. As are megahordes of smaller and one man band companies. China robbed Google and France is trying to rob Apple and politicians around the world are casting their beady greedy eyes at Cyberspace, figuring out how to rob the Cyberspacoids lurking inside. But China's victories and suppressions are very short term The 5 billion or 6 billion people who are not Made in China will not kowtow to China's temporal kleptocratic bosses.
